I've been trying to teach myself to shoot free recoil. I've made some progress, but with a lot of frustration. This is very valuable. Thanks Bart and LK.

I shoot short range group competition and I’m usually at 29.5-30.2 of N133 in my Bat actions. You might want to start at around 29.0 and work up.

A properly matched FL die that sizes your cases the minimum with about .001-.0015” shoulder bump is a must. I can get 15-20 firings easily before my pockets get loose, at the loads mentioned above.

You do not need to use a long powder funnel like people are suggesting. I use one that’s 4” and just pour slowly while rotating the case.

In my learning process over the last year I have not changed seating depth just powder charge. My mentor said nothing of seating depth change when we made a powder change..
