If you want to know the guns potential, why not use new brass and your best powder option while the barrel is low count?

No way to really tell what the cause is since you don’t know how the used bras has been handled. I have shot cci450, br4 and federal 205/m in my Panda ppcs. Never had any problems, even with hotter loads and loser primer pockets that were not too lose.

New brass is "on the way". I use fed 205m normally in all my rifles (when I can get it lol).

I’d it possible you are over uniforming the primer pockets and taking out a lot of brass and making it to thin there?

I haven't uniformed any of them but not sure what was done in the past. That's why I tried the new brass. I have 40 more untouched brass and am gonna prep another 20.

Primer pocket uniformers sometimes cut too much out of the base of the primer pocket.
I had this happen to me this year with a new primer pocket uniformer.

That may have been a possibility with the used cases but the new brass hadn't been uniformed. But I really do appreciate all the input. Thanks everybody.

I'm in agreement with the responders that suspect a long decapping pin holder. Also curious, did you check for primer seating depth in your initial loadings? If so, what was it?

And forgive me for stating the obvious, but hopefully you take that bolt apart and clean the inside of it very well before you start over again too. JMHO. WD

Thanks for your reply, I agree that might have been the case after checking again. The way I currently check for primer seating depth is to run my finger over the base of the case and discard any that are proud of the base. And Oh Yes the bolt is cleaned almost as often and as well as the rifle. Something the previous owner failed to do apparently because when I got it it was filthy.

So after all the comments by you guys I did another check of my decapping and sizing die and you were absolutely correct. The pin was protruding way too far and it was allowing the rod to bottom out on the web. Readjusted the die and went to the range. Not too bad a 49 with 4X's and best news no case damage. Oh and this was in a 15mph gusting wind. Thanks to everyone who offered advice and even some who sent their phone numbers. Great help from all.
