6PPC brass, starting from scratch. Any new choices?

Paul,

At Alpha we are 100% dedicated to competition shooters and building the strongest highest quality brass in the world....made in the USA. Since the launch of our OCD Technology in 2019 10 IBS 1000yd records were set with our BRA brass, 67% of the top 200 PRS shooters trust Alpha, we developed a .308 case for FTR shooters optimized for the 208gr+ projectiles, and now we are working to get the Benchrest community a better product. We have every intention to maintain quality and supply (we prioritize civilian shooters). The OCD brass is stronger and more stable than any other brass ever produced making it more consistent across many firings as the brass flows less (in critical areas) and plastically deforms less at equal pressure. The brass can handle pressures that were previously thought impossible. We developed all our technology in house including an industry first inspection machine. (see attached video link)

We are all shooters with backgrounds in orthopedic implants, petroleum engineering and pharmaceuticals. We took all that knowledge and developed our OCD Technology from scratch to be the best in the world. We are investing heavily in gun-smithing tools that hold tolerances never see in our industry but widely available in others.

Lapua is a great product and they set the bar high. Our goal is to raise that bar using the most advanced technology available today while listening to the needs of the community. We hope we can earn your business one day.

I've watched that machine work and it's simply amazing. One infinitesimal tiny little thing wrong with a piece of brass and it's rejected. Every time watching that machine working, and all the things it does, I can't imagine anyone being able to design / build such a marvel. And it inspect every piece of brass coming out of that factory.

Very impressive inspection setup.

A lot of people get cranky when they find out that basically everything they buy is not inspected 100% and so some QC issues always get past. They simply have no idea what it takes to do 100% inspection meaningfully. And this is how it’s done.

I shot quite a bit of the Norma 6ppc brass. It worked out of the box in my 268 neck ppc. Finished load was around 265. The Norma brass was just as accurate as Lapua but the primer pockets did not hold up as well with higher pressure loads.

I have not shot the Alpha 6ppc brass but those that have all seem to indicate that it is as good as Lapua. I have not read or ran across anyone saying Alpha is better.

I have plenty of Lapua 220 and figure that fireforming may require an extra shot, but that’s not enough to make me dump the Lapua 220 to go buy Alpha 6ppc.
I agree with this. I shot Norma brass in my 22 PPC this year in UBR. It won 3/3 state championships and the Nationals this year and still it is just fine. It has 17 reloads on it and I will continue to use it. I also don't abuse it.
I also use Alpha in my 6 PPC which seems to be excellent brass so far!
