Hello all i am new this sport and would like some advice i am wanting to build a 6mmBR gun for 1000yard shoots. I would like to know if anyone could tell me if Lawton action 7500 series be suitable?. I live in Australia and there is a person importing them . Could i please have your input please.

I have a fairly new 6mmDASHER built on a LAWTON 7500 Action. It is a right bolt, left port. This action combined with the Broughton barrel,29"), Jewell trigger, NightForce 12x42x56BR scope, mounted on a Joel Russo stock,,,,, this thing really shoots. I liked this gun so well I just had a 338 Snipe-Tac,338/408 Chey Tac)built by Dave Viers at http://www.viersco.com/ . This .338,on the necked down 408CT)is built on the LAWTON 8000 Action with a LAWTON 32" barrel. And lucky me!! I now have another gun that really shoots. Lawton products are top-of-the-line and are great when you consider bang-for-the-buck.

Hey Donovan. Great to hear from you.

When I got the 'wild hair' to build this thing I didn't fully consider all the Additional items I would 'WANT' to have and need to have. Took me forever to find brass, but I think I got it from Graf at around a $1.50 per case for the Jamison. Fortunately, Dave Viers included the custom dies in the price of the gun. He also sent 20 rounds of loaded ammo with 300gr SMKs. With these bullets being launced with 142gr of BMG50, I do have a little concern about barrel life; but we will see. The total package with the 5.5x22x56NSX and the special paint was a little over 5K,don't tell my wife)

One problem I have is putting down the DASHER since I loaded up these 108 BERGERS. YIKES!! For me being new to this game, I not really used to this kind of accuracy. This link:
