6mmBR Varget vs VV 140

Newbie to BR here and would appreciate info on VV140. Using Hornady AMax 105 with BR4. Savage target 1/8.
Loading 30g Varget and getting good groups and comparing to VV 140 with excellent groups @ 28.5g but 1" lower than Varget. I could not find load data with pressure and FPS for VV, where could I find that or how comparable are the two loads. Primers on VV show slight flattening. Thanks

My friend uses VV N140 with Berger 105 B/T's... He uses CCI 450 primers... His load is 28.9grs.. He has gone up to 30.6 with no pressure BUT at 28.9 he gets his beast accuracy... VV N140 is a tad faster than Varget but not by much. It is very close to H4895>> but realistically they are all in the same burn rate range.. Each barrel / chamber / freebore will have more significant effect on pressures than a few kernels of powder between VV N140 / H4895 and Varget..

far as velocity goes, get a chronograph, that will tell you what YOUR gun is doing.
far as pressure goes, watch for the all the signs for pressure. getting info from what other guns do is just estimation which is really not adequate enough for YOUR gun. you'll be able to see how the 2 loads compare with a chronogragh.

I assume this is at 100 yards.

Point of impact (POI) will change as the barrel harmonics are manipulated. So, if you are using two different powders, POI has little correlation with speed and more with barrel harmonics. If you manipulate seating depth, you will see the same powder load change POI.
