VV powders in 6BR

N140 is lovely - but is a faster burn rate than Varget - think H4895. N-150 is closer to Varget, and suits 105-107g bullets better. All the N5^^ series powders are double based - ie, nitro glycerine, and therefore more energy/ heat. _. That's my understanding anyway. Now that my BR barrel is on the way out... I may have a play with N555, as someone gave me half a pound.

Have used N-135 w/ 105-107 grain bullets in 6 BRA, Peterson brass single digit SD's, have tried 105 Match burners, 105 RFD, 105 Hornady HPBT Match, 107 Match Kings

I followed advice given on this forum and purchased a 8Lb jug of VV135 to
run through my 12 twist 6BR using Bart's 68 Avengers.
So far not disappointed at all.

I am running N133 in my 12 twist 6BR and 58gr. Z-Max. It is very clean burning and works really well on local groundhogs.

I will be in line for N-140 when my Dasher's with 105HB run out of Fuel.

I have used VV140 in place of Varget and find that 140 replaces VGT grain for grain. Got virtually the same velocity with 107 SMKs.

Here in Europe, we use N140 or N150. Both work nicely with 90-107gr bullets.
