6mmBR Subsonic ?

anybody got any experience or loads they care to share ?

got my 308 subsonic loads honed in with 10.8gr of Trail Boss under 180gr Hornady's give me 1050-1075fps out of a 700AAC so am looking for the right bullet/powdeer combo as a starting point for the 6BR

Twist will likely limit which bullet weight you are trying to propel. I'm in the middle of a 6mm-Hornet project and it seems that a "tight enough" twist isnt available to launch anything too awfully lethal. Quick load is a good source for starting points.

I tried some 100 RN with trail boss in my dasher. If I remember correctly it shot 1.5-2 MOA. That was out of a 1-8 twist. After that experiment, I bought a whisper.

Isn't the 6br case just too much volume when trying to get a good subsonic load? I too bought a whisper, and I get 1.25" groups consistantly at 100 yards using the 200 SMK and the little better using the 210 VLD.

With the advent of trail boss powder. A wsm case is not too much case to load subsonic.
