After doing a lot of research, it looks like the 6mmbr is probably the best all around target/varment round for say 100 yards through 600 yards and maybe even longer.
Right now I own a decent 22-250 and will probably rechamber it to 6mm br soon. Later if I am shooting very tight and if I get the urge to shoot past 600 yards I might set up a 6.5-284 or a 7mm wsm.
As I understand it the 308 is the 100 and 200 yard king, but I am interested in only shooting one caliber for 100 - 600 yards to keep it simple. I like the idea of low recoil, high bc, decent barrel life and very good accuracy.
The question is, with the 6mmbr, and shooting distances of around 600 yards I assume you would want to shoot something like the 105 bergers, but it takes these heavier bullets longer to stabilize for short range stuff.
About what weight bullets would you want to use for 100 and 200 yard competitions in a 6mmbr.
