6mmBR Chamber Neck Size

Ok I am now ready to begin my Short Barrel 6mm Br Hunter.

The first thing I ran into was chamber neck size. If I use Lapua brass as recommended, the general consenses is I don't need to turn the necks. If that's the choice then my question is what size should I order the neck chambered to?

Thanks for the insite in advance.
Bob

0.272 neck is a no-turn neck for 6BR Lapua brass. Make sure you have them use a reamer for a 6BR Norma. tiny

Just to be sure I understand....272 is the loaded lapua round?

so a .275 chamber size or do the top competitors go tighter?

Thank you gentelmen!

After further checking I find that the barrel makers "standard" chamber is in fact .272. The confusion for me started when I looked at the cartridge diagram on the 6mm BR Home Page, it showed .2717, that looked closer to .272 than I was comfortable with.

Thanks again for the thoughtful input.

Ok now I am embarrased:o

I need to wear my glasses when I sit down at this computer....I now see the neck diameter on the diagram is .2705.....OOPS.
