I purchased some 6mmBR Lapua brass. This was not shot in my rifle. I say that because when I measure just above the extractor groove I measure .270-.271. However, when I measure new unfired I get .268-269. All this because when I chamber the once fired brass the bolt handle is somewhat hard to operate but the new unfired is easier. I am thinking that a small base die would resize the base and the stiffness would be gone. Does anyone else think this may help. Let me know. I don't want to just not use the brass. I was going to try a small base .243WIN die if I could find one. Anyway any help appreciated.
