6mmbr 107 smk depth

Hi
looking at doing some reloading with some 107 smk in my 6mmbr
can you tell what the minimum OAL and maximum OAL setting depth of this bullet and what is the average OAL setting depth for this bullet is

Thanks
Andy

In my guns the SMK's like to jump and not be jammed in the lands at all. They are not too picky about seating depth when jumping and shoot great in a couple 6BR's from .010 to as much as .080" off the lands but you need to learn to measure the "touch" distance of your own rifle as they are all slightly different and my OAL may not work in your barrel.
Repeating the "split case method" a dozen times and averaging the measurements will give you a good place to start if you don't have a Stoney Point type tool for measuring OAL.

My 6br likes smk's kissing the lands, but as stated, all guns will vary. I have heard some like to be jammed in the lands pretty good, some like to off as stated above!

Best answer anyone can give you.

Andy,
This is a question that just can't be answered by any of us unless you would like to send me your rifle, seriously each rifle will vary, I have a 6brx and a 6*284 and both of them like to be into the lands .012 but I have a 6.5*284 that like the 142SMK's jumped about .010 and my 6XC likes it's 107 SMK's just touching so you see there is quite a range, however I have found them to be not very picky, they just shoot ;)

I have two 6br,s same barrel maker. One shoots 10 in the lands and the other is 12 out so each rifle has its own thing going. The only way is to measure your gun and test from there.

my br shoots great with the 107s anywhere from .010-.020 off and with 30-31 gr of varget. shoots under two inches @ 600 consistently with any of those combos. i settled on .012 off and 30.4 gr of varget. the 107 is going 2850. if you dont have a stoney pt gauge i would recommend getting one. finding the lands is quick and easy. this was my first 600 yard fclass string i shot with this barrel. top right nine is my first sighter. 200 16 x.
