6mmAR Turbo vs. 6mmBR

I realize differences in rifles and such, just curious how the two cartridges compare inn pure accuracy. I'm looking to build a midrange prone rifle and wondered about this as it's tempting to just get another upper for my spacegun rather than a complete build.

I have bolt guns in both the 6br and the 6mmRAT which is a near copy of the 6mm Turbo 40 and I can say that at 200 yards, both are very accurate. I have not shot them at 600 yards yet. I believe the 6br will hold more powder and I have another 6mm barrel on the way in Palma contour that will be in 6br.

6MM BR IS THE WAY TO GO NO GOOD DIES FOR THE TURBO

Hmmm - I guess a die set with a Redding Type S FL sizing die with a Competition Seater does not qualify in your book as "good dies". We have them in stock.

Whats Wrong with Redding Dies? I have been leaning toward Forester but have a fair number of Redding in the ole Sizing Die shelf.

LRP,

What distance did you shoot when you compared the 6BR and turbo?

I have shot both in many matches at 600 yards, accuracy wise they are very close. The turbo is a great cartridge for the AR platform.

The only bolt rifle that I have seen in the turbo has higher MVs than any 6BR.

You must have just added those. I peruse your website pretty often and all I saw on there a few weeks back was the Hornady Turbo 40's. Of course, I could have missed them.

Yes, I would say those are some very good dies. So taking that little issue out of the equation.......
