6MMAI Load Development

I'm presently working on my 6mmAI, trying to develop a load using 75 grain Vmaxes. I'm very happy with the 75 grain Vmax and don't want to change, what I'm having difficulty with is deciding on powder. Working on some ladder tests using RL17 and H4350. Someone mentioned to me that N160 is the perfect powder for the 6MMAI.

Just wondering if anyone is using N160 in any of their rifles and what their experience has been with it.

Those powders might be okay in that bullet weight. I would have guessed RL-22 and slower for heavy bullets in that cartridge.

Yes, N160 is the powder that I use in my 6 mmAI with the 75 grain Vmax. It was the powder that was recommended by the gunsmith that built my rifle, Richard Franklin.
Super clean burning and accurate.
My rifle was built with a 12 twist barrel specifically for varmint bullets. That 75 Vmax really hammers them.

I use Win 760 with 70g Nosler, 70g TNT, and 69g Bergers, 3/8" would be a large group.

26: 12 & 14T, zero freebore.

70's fire forming at 3800 formed from 3980-4100 depending on the barrel.

With a good muzzle break, you see the bullet impact just as you feel the recoil.
