6mm. SLR Load /Chrono Update

Been testing my new 6SLR, tried several different combos, ended up with this one after shooting our club 600 yard match on Sunday:
44.8 grn. 4831SC, RLR (Russian Large Rifle) , 105 Berger VLD's .015 into lands, fireformed brass (although it does not seem to matter much ) , 003 neck tension, neck resized for .125 only( this just matches the bearing surface on the 105's at my coal ). Kreiger 5R, 25'' is showing 3100 fps on the MagnetoSpeed Chrony. Five shot 3/8" group. No, it's not a BR winner, but this isn't a BR rifle....

I have almost completed gathering the components for my 6mm SLR build.

BAT Tactical Action (BTA)......should be in my hands in about a week
Bartlein 8 twist Med Palma.....planning on finishing at 26 or 27
Manners T5A Stock
Jewell Trigger
Detach DBM
Reamer should be delivered in a couple of weeks.

Can't wait.

Heard good things about H1000 as well. Have you tried it?

Bartlein 8 twist Med Palma.....planning on finishing at 26 or 27

Heard good things about H1000 as well. Have you tried it?

I'm in the same boat! All of my parts should be here by the end of the month and off to the smith.

Has anyone had any luck with the Berger 105gr Hybrids out of the 6SLR, I think this will be my starting point and if that doesn't work I'll go with old faithful(107gr SMK).

I still have to order a reamer. I was thinking the JGS 6 Super LR/S. Any opinions?

As to rifle, I was planning on having my Sako TRG22 rebarrelled ; had 2 new 6mm blanks and new reamers on hand. Ended up finding a TRG on SnipersHide that had been redone as a SLR, purchased that rifle and did not have to take the other apart. Barrel is a 5R kreiger, 8 twist, chambered by Jon Beanland with his .080 freebore reamer designed for the 105 Hybrid. I can seat the 105 Berger VLd out so the base is above the neck juncture but it then becomes a single shot proposition . In this rifle i think the VLD's shot better than the Hybrids but I'm still going to do some more test groups.
The case is very easy to alter, lube the new Winchester .243 brass and run thru the 6SLR die, load and fireform. My cases are showing very little growth and are easy to resize, nice cartridge in my opinion.
Spoke with Dave Kiff this week and he mentioned an article coming out about some throat erosion testing; need to find out when and where it is to be published. Said it contained some " interesting " data.

You might want to talk to Dave Kiff at PT&G; he has a few different designs and ideas on this reamer.

Yep...ordered mine from PT&G.

They happened to have one in stock that was just a little on the loose side for me, so they are going to grind it down to my exact neck and freebore request.
