It was a Good choice for Me as, the 6 XC Uses, 3-4 grains, Less Powder than, a 6 MM Creed ( 100 FPS, Less Velocity but, a 10% savings, On Powder ). 2,950 - 3,000 FPS with, 107 / 108 gr Bullets.
You should get, around, 500-700 More, accurate shots of, Barrel Life, also. ( Most Shooters Est., 2200 -2400 Rds.)
Criterion Barrels, are reasonably priced, Chambered RIGHT w/ Perfect, FreeBore and Head spacing, a "Nutted" Barrel, is pretty easy for most, Gunsmiths / Knowledgeable, Hobbyists.
I used, a Hex shaped, SS, Crown Ridge, barrel "Nut" and Set the H-S, to Close on New, Norma Brass AND, "Tight" on, the Go Gage.
Glass Bed your Action ( Free Float Barrel ), install, a cheap Timney, 1.5 to 4 lb Hunter style Trigger and, Wow !
Be sure to Relieve, a Little "Glass compound", around, the Nut.
I Bedded about, 1 1/4 inches of, the "Shank portion" of my Barrel,. thru the Tang area for, Good "support".
Getting, 5 shot, "Bug-Holes" from the Low 2's to 3's, w/ Sierra, 107 SMK's, Jammed.
3's to 1/2 MOA with, 108 gr., Hunting Loads, "Jumping", a Bit.
It's, a 10 1/2 Pound, Heavy Varmint Class, Rifle with, a Brake ( .705 dia., Muz )
