So I had put together a 6mm Rem AI a few years ago and it's been wonderfully accurate and has taken antelope, whatitetail, mulie and over 100 coyotes. It's a 1:8 twist S7 shillen. I built it on a shirt action and that was my only issue as I could use the heavier sleek and VLD style bullets. I had settled on the Sierra 90 Gr TGK using 53.0 great of H4831sc and a Fed210. It produced 3500 FPS and a low ES/SD. Maybe I should have left it alone but I couldn't. I found a long action and a good HS stock and did the trigger in it. Headspaced it identical to its previous set up. Now I'm ready to try some 105's. I have some scenarios and 105 hunting VLD. I have thought about the 115 hunting VLDs but berger shows marginal stability....still may be worth a try. Anyone have experience with the heavier bullets 105+ in the 6AI? powder recommendations? 26" barrel...any velocity expectations?
Thanks
