6mm ppc

Nice rifle Eric!
It's a shooter too but looks like Eric might've set his flags a little too high to see the rifle's full potential, at some point. Lol! Looks like some bullet holes in one of them. Ouch!
@Eric Leonard I can bring ya a new vane whenever I see ya at a match, no problem. I just haven't been able to make many so far, again. More family health stuff and trying to get caught up in the shop and on the farm too.

I totally agree with Jimmymac and Eric Leonard when it comes to heavy guns. While I by no means compare to them as a shooter I do have a 6ppc and a 6 Talldog built on Hart #4 actions that are absolute boat anchors and they are a blast to shoot. I think they would have been called cruisor rifles in their day and both weigh about 28 pounds each. As time goes by I look at additional as a benefit even if it is masking my poor bench habits.
Cruiser, fun gun, or UBR Unlimited rifle. All the same but with UBR having a true and well attended Unlimited class, I say why not. I've got a dedicated unlimited myself and enjoy shooting it. It gives me room to try stuff. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't but I'm not stuck in a 10.5lb box with that class either. Really, it's my favorite class to shoot. Not because it makes it easier really but because it lets me experiment with things that I couldn't in a 10.5lb rifle is all. The rules are the same for everyone in the class so I don't see it as being any kind of advantage over the others in the class. Custom is usually the biggest class and more often than not, has the highest scores but not always.

Sounds like someone beat someone with with a heavy gun here. Haha. Also, people leaving the game? How many are their to begin with?

No offense to you all, but holy s***. I see so many people on here that just want to build fun guns with extreme accuracy and people always just talking about it not making weight, or if it's a PPC you won't be competitive. It's like you all have brain bleeds and can't understand that alot of people just like to shoot and compete with themselves.

I have like 1 club by me that does unsanctioned 200 yard f class shoots. There isn't even a club within a 3 hour drive of me that does bench rest comps. The OP just asked about velocities. Change the record already about weight and rules. It's rather annoying.

One thing that's guaranteed, and if you don't believe me look at old threads. Anyone who has asked about a fun gun gets the same answers. It won't make weight, and it it's not a PPC you're not doing it right.
Total agree with you, I am one of those who shoot to compete with myself mostly. I do totally enjoy getting with the guys and shooting for fun and if there is a metal to be given out it's fine if I get it and its also fine for another shooter to get it. So when I ask my builder (ODCR) for a new build I NEVER ask how much it will weigh or if it will be adequate for a match of any kind whatsoever. If it happens to work out that the build would be acceptable for a match somewhere then that's fine with me but if it don't so what? I don't like travel so I won't be going very far to shoot anyway. I refuse to make shooting like work because it is my play time and I enjoy it just how it is.

Yep. The only viable reason to build a 10.5lb rifle is resale, but if possible, I try not to make permanent changes that would keep it from being that again. It's all in what ya want, I think. But UBR having a dedicated class is pretty sweet. Pretty much run whut ya brung. The only restriction being 30 cal or less, IIRC.

That was at Two Brothers the same day I bought the flags, first time I ever used them. The holes don’t bother me and they remind me ever time I set up to make sure the flags aren’t too high. LOL
