6mm Dasher

Hoodoo

Hey guys, thought I'd show off my new build from this past winter.

Specs:
Defiance Deviant single shot action
McMillan F-class stock
Jewel Trigger
Nightforce 15-55 Competition Scope
Lilja HV Fluted barrel, 30" Finish Length
.268" Neck, .104" Freebore

Have about 180 rounds through the barrel so far, and it's an absolute tack driver.

I've settled on 33.4 grains of Varget behind 105 bergers.

Very nice looking rifle, looks like you got it going to..
What neck clearance and neck tension/bushing are you using?
Are they the VLD Targets?

Cheers Rushty

we need more info on your loads. how far off, or in, rifling, neck clearance and so-on. Great shooting.

I've thought about trying to automate neck turning with my PMA in a vise, and brass in the spindle on a CNC machine. Never have tried it because I figure it wouldn't float enough. How are you holding the brass? Does it have some give to it?

Holding it in a collet. It's the best way I've found to turn necks, took me about 1 hour to turn 100 pieces of brass.

Barrel is a 1-8 twist 3-groove Lilja. Amazing how easily it cleans.

33.4 grains of Varget
105 Berger VLD's
Turned the necks for .011 wall thickness.

I can't remember off the top of my head how far off the lands I am. Not a far jump anyhow.

I have a set of Whidden Gunworks dies. I'll have to look tonight on what bushing I settled on, I had to play around with a couple to find the right neck tension.
