Really, anything to gain or lose with BRX, or other Improveds. Don't want to overthink it and don't have any 1st hand experiance with any. Barnard P, 1/8, more 600 & some 1000, prone/sling, any/any.Thanks, should give every one something to talk about if .bored

As long as you like fireforming all your cases, the dasher is a great cartridge.

After fire forming, you are good for 30+ firings with the Dasher and if you don't like to trim. If you fire form and they come out short, they stay short. I trimmed for the National and state shoots. Some that were short 1.548-9 never made trim length, these are fowlers and sighters...... jim

I'll jump on the Dasher bandwagon also. My new 6Br shoots 105 H bullets at 2,835 fps. My Dasher (same powder, bullet) chronys at 3,030 fps. Good for 1.5MOA less on the adjustment turret @ 500 yards. There are many forum members here who have forgotten more about the 6 Dasher than I will ever know and after reading about it here a few years ago I had my first one built and love it. The Dasher in front of a good driver will hold its own against anything out there and is pretty much at the top for 600-1000 yard shooting.

I am building a 6XC, chose that over the Dasher because I don't have to fireform and the 6XC is just as accurate at 600-1000m

those hundreds of rounds fireforming and load developing are better spent in accuracy practice... the barrel doesn't last that long...

Did not mean to stir things up, but now that I did, lets not stop. Fireforming not really a problem, not like you got use hammer and anvil.

I never saw a 6xc shoot sub 3" groups at 1K,but maybe they will, but you don't see them used at BR. XC is a different game..... jim

Dasher just won the Florida 1000 yard Championship done this weekend. The finals were a couple hours ago and I also think #2 was a Dasher or maybe a BRX.

The top three at the IBS bench rest national Light gun all shot Dashers High over all was a Dasher also...... JIm
