6mm Dasher factory brass

Yes, and it's not really "ready to load" unless you use their reamer, if you have a Lapua brass reamer it needs to be trimmed quite a bit.

Here is a photo

I came across an article that claimed Norma is no longer producing this/their brass; is there any credence to this?

i'm planning a dasher build, and had planned on going norma factory brass and the matching norma reamer.

also, is the AlphaMunitions dasher brass dimensioned same as Norma, or formed lapua?

thank you

Alpha would be Lapua and is very consistent. Having excellent results with this brass but only a few firings on it so far, so time will tell if it holds up as well as Lapua.
I would avoid the Norma chamber and stick with what has been working well for years.

New Norma brass out of the box measures about 1.595"
New Ahpha brass measures about 1.545"

Both of them measure about .468 at the .200 line

Had Dan Dowling build me a Dasher with a Norma Reamer. Use the Norma Brass. Anneal every time and have over 10 firings on the Brass. 32.5 of Varget with a 107 moly, 2925 fps. Shoots Great and Brass is holding up!

I just ordered 1000 pc's of the new Peterson 6mm dasher brass I will report my findings should be here on about a week.
I just got 100 of the Peterson yesterday. They look very good. Seven were light and the all the others weighted within 1.0 Gr. They are over 10% heavier on average than the Lapua I have on hand. CCI 450's fit snug. I checked them all and saw no burs on the flash holes. I won't get to shoot them for at least a week, but I have high hopes.

I won't have mine for a week or so small flash holes like the br brass or are they large just curious.

“The 6 Dasher made by Peterson are offered in Small Rifle Primer (SRP) pocket size only. They have a .060” flash hole diameter, same as Lapua’s small rifle primer pockets.

Regarding Overall Length (OAL), Peterson researched all the popular chamber reamer sizes, and decided to make its casings with an OAL of 1.53” + or - .0005, so they’ll fit in the common 6 Dasher chambers. The base diameter of Peterson 6 Dasher is the same as the base diameter of its 6 BR casings. Plus, these Dashers have the correct neck wall thickness of .0013”. “

I have a brand new Barrel laying here and a 6 Dasher, that I want to play with and get a tune ready for the 600 GBA Nationals I'm anxious to see how this brass works my BR brass has been exceptional.

1.53 seems very short.
