there is no rational reason why you have to be in the lands with any bullet.
believe me there is a point between mag length and bullet going completely into the case that that barrel/bullet combination will shoot. the berger jump test is a good.place to start. i know from experience those hybrids like a jump
the shape of the ogive on just about every different bullet is different. that is why you must measure to the lands with each different bullet you use.
