Base to shoulder;
6br. 1.071
6brdx 1.1647
6brx 1.171
6 dasher 1.1973

is very easy to get confused on the the specs for the 6 BR vs 6BRA. Simply put as I ascertain the reamer prints from JGS, the case wall on the 6 BR 30º is moved forward by .048 and the the neck shoulder junction is shortened by .004 and thus moving the shoulder angle back to 40º to form the 6 BRA 40º . The actual head space is .004shorter on the 6-BRA 40º than the 6-BR 30º.

all photos are off the internets, not mine

Correct numbers depends on too many factors. You can’t just list them and assume that they aren’t dangerous or will work for your particular gun

Thank You for putting this together. This is my contribution.

6 mm Rem Imp 40 degree

WW case, CCI fired primer in case, unsized case.

I filed a slot at the bottom of the neck to make sure that the water was only to the bottom of the neck.

Empty Case = 176.5 grains, Water to bottom of neck = 233.0.

Capacity is 56.5 grains of water to the bottom of the neck.

If I fill a case to the top, I get 60.1 grains.

Not sure how the other cases were measured, that is how I measure mine.

The above link is a nice analysis of weights and capacities of 243 Win Brass. I think he filled the cases to the top, not just to the bottom of the neck.

Stay Healthy!

Lapua resized brass in my 6 BR Norma has a capacity of 38.5 grs H2O. Same brass fired not resized is 38.6 grs H2O . Shoulder angle is 30 deg. Neck length is .331. Do you want some non 6mm cartridges or only 6mm.

Sorry for the odd format, but this is off an Excel spreadsheet and I've removed unnecessary values.

The 6XC - Peterson case and the Dasher were unfired.
