6mm Bronze Bore Brushes

I have been looking for 6mm bronze cored bore brushes and cannot find anyone who carries these! Several companies (Proshot and Benchrite) show them on their websites but you cannot order them. Go figure.

No one uses a bronze cored bore brush anymore?

What is up with this issue?

Bob

Rob01,
If you check the website, they offer the bronze cored benchrest brushes in every caliber except 6mm! Go figure.

Not sure where you are looking but I can use the drop down menus and get a .243/6mm brush pretty easy. Comes in singles.

Well, Amazon has everything Proshot. Got everything ordered.

Thanks for the help.
The patches I bought last week direct from Proshot for 19.95 per 1000 are on Amaxon for 29.95. Bad idea using Amazon. So for 53.00 extra to Amazon I could have saved 10.00 on shipping. By Obummer math it would have been a good deal.

Jeff,
The 2” round patches(1000 ct) on the Proshot site were $23.95. vs Amazon Prime was $29.95. My bride has a prime account so I get free shipping. Probably a wash in the long run.
The Proshot website has glitches as I was looking for 6mm bronze brushes and the site would not let me order them. So Amazon it was.

At a 1000 at a time your correct. At 5000 or more at a time, direct is a significant savings.

I'm not sure what is left but a bit back I was rummaging thru
Grizzly to find Bald Eagle parts. I ran into all kinds of brushes
and bore mops by the dozen's for cheap. If you have a Sportsman's
Warehouse near you, you'll find patch's at a fair price. A 750 count
bag ran me $8 bucks.....

I shoot with him.....He's a cleaning fanatic. Rifle come off the
line, and patches start flying....LOL
Fuj,
I used to suffer from that rabid cleaning syndrome back when I was chasing leg points shooting my M-14. When the 600 yd X- counts dropped my cousin borescoped the muzzle. We were amazed that , even using a bore guide, the first 1 1/2 inch of rifling from the muzzle was missing. When I related this fact to my High Master mentor, he asked me if I go to the match’s to shoot or clean my rifle. In any MR or LR prone matches, my rifle has to be capable of 88 accurate shots. I will clean it thoroughly at the end of the day.

now if I was shooting a 17 cal. that would be a horse of a different color.
