6mm BR help

Hey, I have recently got my hands on a 6mm BR Rifle. It come with fired brass, which bolt in and extract out as you would expect. I have purchased a couple hundred extra brass cases. All the same brand, Lapau. I find that none of the new brass I have will extract. The empty brass or even dummy rounds made from this brass do not extract. They do not get stuck in the chamber, they simply slide out when tilting the rifle backwards.

It kinda looks like it may be due to the thickness of the rim. The new brass being thicker (and inconsistent).

What should I be looking for? Is it a case of fire forming?

Is the rifle actually chambered for 6br? Measure and compare the brass that came with the rifle to the new brass. Are the base to shoulder length and angles similar?

All very good points thus far. One additional comment: New, unprimed brass should always be resized before loading.

i bet even though your old brass says 6br on the back it is chambered for a wildcat version. have you done a comparison on the brass laying side by side?

Might want to look at the extractor. Might just need a new spring.. Just my two cents. Tommy Mc

measure base to shoulder datum on your fired brass and your new brass. could be as simple as the new brass headspace is just too short for the ejector to get a grip on your unfired brass.

Possible your chamber is close fitting requiring neck turning. Do any of the brass shot from that rifle exhibit neck turning? Measure the thickness of the case mouth at the lip of the new vs shot brass and come back with your results.

Sounds like the extractor isn't snapping over the case rim but is pushing the case deep into the chamber, might be a dasher chamber or some other blown out variant of the 6 mm br. case.
