If the tailstock on the lathe was a thousandth or so out, that would explain wider 200 line. The pilot in the rifling would keep the front of the reamer in line with the bore.Please correct me if I’m wrong. My understanding is the reamer used by the smith was the wheeler #1. However, that would put the .200 at .4715, not .4730. It is also my understanding is that the Wilson die is also based off wheeler #1, it should be sizing at the .200.
