As I said. Why.....noise, cycling, forming. These all have different functions and methods.

Little different. All of those accomplish the same end goal...creating a blank. Also refer to post #5 it was already stated why.

No they don't. If you just want noise (as was mentioned earlier) just a primer will do. The OP states that within 150 yds.he needs a blank. How far that needs to be heard (report) isn't stated.

A primer alone is not that loud. The rules state 2 cartridge blanks.
I just was wondering if anyone had any experience building cartridge blanks.
