Odds of a 105 Amax stabilizing in a 10 twist bbl, 6mmBR

A friend is shooting the 105 A-max out of a 10 twist to 1200 yards with no issue, but it's a 6mm Rem.

I have a line on a new barrel blank that I can get for a very good price...it's a 10 twist.

Thanks.

Edit: I should also add that I shoot at 4500' and the DA is typically about 6000'.

How about the 95 SMK? Or maybe I should ask what the best bullet would be for 800 yards and under for banging steel and long range prairie dogs.

I have a 10" twist, 30" long Dasher. It was supposed to be an 8" twist, so I started using 105gn bullets until I figured out I had stability issues.
It could shoot the 95gn bullets but only in warm weather, above sea level, less dense air.
To shoot in winter, I had to go back to the 88-90gn bullets to get any sort of consistency.
I would say try the 87gn VLD, 88gn LD or 90gn BT range of bullets if you think you might get down to the lower altitudes, especially in cooler weather.
If you will be staying above 4500 ft like you say, then I know another shooter who has the 95 VLDs working well in a BR, but this has been in summer time, 1000ft above sea level.
