6BRX Fireforming Accuracy

We had our 300 yard bench rest match today, and I shot it using my X-Caliber 6BRX barrel with new Lapua brass, 105 Berger Hybrid bullets and 30 grains of Varget. The first and third relays were more like my usual performance (96/96), but the second relay produced a 100-1X.

Just thought I'd show off a little, and demonstrate how true it is that you don't have to waste bullets and powder while fireforming.

That's been my experience too. I fire form at 600 F. They shoot great!

nice work mate .. hope mine shoots that good fire forming , how much jam did you use and what primers , i was think on using federal 205 primers for FF only as they are softer and then back to CCI 450 or BR4s, not sure which yet

Mine forms at 29.4gr of varget and has produced groups in the 1-1.25" range at 400 on many occasions
I tried 70 gr. Sierras with similar load with CCI450s, and the shoulders were not quite sharp. 107 Sierras and 30 gr. Varget formed nice sharp shoulders. They were accurate but pretty slow at 2718. I like shooting the 107s moly'd at 3000-3025.
I use VV N140 as a match load @ 3010 fps and it shoots consistently. The loose nut behind the trigger is the issue!
