I've been shooting the Savage 6BR in 600 yard competition for about five years now, and last year I had my gunsmith rechamber a 6BR barrel to a Dasher. I worked with it a while, and I'm sure things would have worked out if I'd pursued it. But in May of last year I ordered a 6BRX barrel from X-Caliber, and I have to say that it's made a big difference in my shooting.
I've got about 350 rounds through the 28" 1-in-7 twist barrel, and here I was shooting the Berger 105gr Hybrid over 33gr of Varget with Lapua brass and CCI450 primers. I only came in 2nd in our monthly club match, since I dropped 8 points in one of the relays. However, I thought I'd pass these two targets along.
I'm certainly not knocking other companies' barrels, but I ordered another one like this from X-Caliber last week.
