6BRDX stock choice

I have just started a new project.. Lawton 7500 1.36" S/A dual port, Lawton 28" HV barrel 8 twist, jewell trigger, and a Weaver T36.

The rifle will see varminting as well as some club shoots. I do not want a large stock, but wanting to use a short range benchrest stock as they are smaller and have the angled butt, which will be better out in the field for myself.

Now, for the palm area, which short range stocks allow for your hand to get a good hold on the rifle? The BRX, Kelby Klub, Shehane ST-BR? A stock like the Kelby SPG has no area to hold the rifle, which would make it uncomfortable to shoot in the field!!

With the reamer, I will be able to shoot the 75Vmax's all the way through to the 107MK's. Very versitile round indeed! Have got a report that it will shoot the 107's to 2980fps, and I am not sure of barrel length on the rifle that did it!

Thanks for your help!!

Cheers

Check out Richard's Custom Rifles in Vinton,VA.You can look up his website on Google.I'm shooting an RCR 007 stock on my .300 RUM AI which I use for 1000 yd and long range hogs, etc.

The old style McMillan BR stock would work well for your application. In the photo below, courtesy UK BR Assn., the McMillan BR is the teal, gray green) stock on the bottom. BrunoShooters.com should have a few of these available, or try Bob White's operation in New Jersey.
