6BRA Varget load data?

Just starting load Development, I know a lot of folks are getting great results with H4895 but I have about 10 lbs of Varget to use so I’ll be using that with berger 105 hybrids just touching. Any help with a starting point would be greatly appreciated. New to the forum first post. Thanks all

Welcome to the Forum. I found a flat spot doing a ladder between 32.1 and 32.3 of Varget using 450 primers and Berger 108s. Velocity for 32.1 was 2940.

I'd sell the Varget to a buddy who uses it, and get on H4895 sooner then later.
Or sell it to @tom for fire starter....

I'm going to be testing Varget in my BRA after our State Championship's later this month, I have a great H4895 load to shoot but because my straight BR preferred Varget I thought I should test it.. going on comments above am I wasting my time??

I wouldn't bother mate to be honest. I use 2208 for fireforming only, at least when it comes to the BRA and it was bloody accurate, but not to the same extent as 2206H or RL15, they're on another level with my rifle. One of my friends back in NSW has run 2208 in his BRA over a number of distances and conditions and has not been able to achieve the same level of accuracy as I have, and he's an F-Open Queens winner so he knows how to shoot. Stick to 2206H, that's where the accuracy is for this cartridge. If you could get RL15 in WA then I'd recommend that also.

H 4895 and RL-15 with the 105 class bullets and 8208xbr with the 80's. I tried to make 8208 work with the 105 bullet but I haven't hit on a combination with it....... jim

Well anytime a customer is satisfied with what I did it makes me feel overwhelmed to know I did my job you just take it easy on this old man an kneedtospeed lol great job young man.PS not shabby for a 4groove button rifled barrel.

Test/Tune Day.
Ben got the "Pit Fuel" together pretty good today, in unexpectedly Bad Mirage. He Grouped well at 500m, with his new Taylor rifle.
It was a struggle to see 6mm holes past 300, but at 600, nobody could make out 30 holes with NF Comps, or a K1050.
New Shooter at the table...
