6BRA seating die

Has anyone else on this forum ordered the Wilson Micro Adjust Seating Die for the 6BRA from Sinclair?
The reason I am asking is that I now have two seating dies and neither one is machined correctly. There seams to be a discrepancy in the relief cut for the neck of the brass. The brass will go in the bottom of the die and sticks out the bottom of the die.050" which I believe is the difference in neck length between the Dasher and 6BRA. I have done some measuring with calipers and found that this seems to be the problem. Was wondering if anyone else has had this problem before I spend an hour on hold with Sinclair.

I just got one a couple of weeks ago. Haven't used it yet. But I did go and check. I took a Re-sized piece of BRA, inserted fully. Looked to be recessed (to my best measurement) about .015.

loaded round diameter could be a possible problem at neck if a sized case clears but loaded round does not

The OP has a problem (thinks it is really a Dasher instead of a BRA), mine is fine..

I can assure you I am 100% sure it is not a 6mm-dasher case but a 6BRA case being used to come to this conclusion, also the case is not oversized I am sure. OP is well schooled in the differences between the two cartridges. I am a know body as you will find but physically reviewed what OP found to be true and came to the same conclusion. I am pleased your die is working

As another option for guys shooting 6BRA.....Mark Gordon at Short Action Customs is also making reloading dies. Here is the set that I got. Only used it two times now and with no complaints. The sizing die uses Redding bushings.

I appreciate all who have posted regarding the 6mm BRA Micro Adjust Seating Dies. I find comfort that no one else has issues with their dies. I also would like to thank Shawn at Northridge for giving me a Second verification on the dimensional issues I am having with my die. I had for the most part already made my decision on whether or not the die was defective for my purposes before I had made a post to this forum. To whom it may concern in the future if you need assistance with one of these seating dies I would recommend calling and sending them to L.E. Wilson. I spoke with a pleasant individual at Wilson yesterday about the issue and will be shipping to Wilson directly. With great certainty I am confident that they will correct the issue with grace. Issues with equipment in this precision game we play come up often. Thankfully we are All human and mistakes are made from time to time. If you are having problems, Hopefully this post finds you well. Thanks again for your time guys. Winter well!!!

Ok, so now I have to ask?

If a 6MM Dasher die can be used to seat a Bullet into the 6MM BRA Case, Can a 6MM BRA SINCLAIR/L.E. WILSON - MICRO-ADJUST BULLET SEATER be used to seat a Bullet into a 6MM BR case. Asking because if I could use it on both it would be a Win-Win.

Thanks in advance.

shoulder angle is different between a 6br and a 6bra. So I’m guessing that the same seating die will not work.

It will be close. A 6BR brass seated in a 6BRA chamber does gently squeeze the neck/shoulder junction. Not sure how close the seating die fit will be at that spot.

I wouldn't do it because the body geometry is so different - the 6BR case won't be restrained at all.

My Sinclair/wilson 6 BRA seater die leaves brass protruding also...just got it Friday. Called Wilson today and will be sending the die back along with 3 pieces of brass so they can correct it.

Sorry to hear you Also had an issue with your die. They will "Correct" the issue. They may also try and tell you that your brass is "too" long. How far is it sticking out the bottom of the die? .050"??
