6bra load with 108 Berger, 29in 7.5 twist brux

Jump or jam the Berger 108s , using h4895 , tried the 107 smks at various loads and jump , jam , at best was a crap shoot , very inconsistent. This is my heavy gun for 600 & 1000 yds, shoots 105s ok, but not giving me that warm fuzzy feeling. custom Howa 1500 blue printed action, 29in brux 7.5 twist , straight 1.250

The 108 Berger is the "easy button". Not finnicky about seating depth. I usually start with 20k off the lands and they shoot so well I just stay there.

Thanks, got some to try, everyone says 6bra is (it) , this one's trying to be a bear

plus one on easy with the 108's. i shoot 'em 10 to 15 thou off and they are killer @ 600 yds in my straight 6BRs.

Tested the 108 Berger by today, 5 at touch, 5 at 5 thou off ,5at 10 thou off ,5 at 15 thou off , 30.6 gn h4895 not impressed at 250 yds , my 6br shoots smaller groups at 600

Also shooting the 108’s and H4895

0.005 in and 0.020 off were the two lengths that shot best for me. Settled on 0.020 off

Takes a lot to clean feels rough , carbon out butches bore shine, even used bore polish , looks wavy inside , gonna let my Smith look at it, as you say sometimes get a bad barrel , after 250 rounds it should shoot

in a 120FB BRAI I've shot the 108s with 31.4 of Varget with both a hard jam and .005 off touch and they both shot well

Tried new test today, put scope down barrel , all good, tested 2 other brands of bullet , wouldn't you know it , one ragged hole at 100 . Figures it would be , Bart's 105 Gungnir , and 103 VT , gun has expensive taste , (If you gonna play you gonna pay)

Sometimes its worth trying further jump distances. I have one barrel that shoots the Berger 108s best jumped .026

I shot 105VLD’s for years seated 0.020” off then had a batch I’d seated at 0.060” by mistake (don’t laugh, **it happens!) that shot even better!

My advice? Try it! You might like it too!

Well have gave up on barrel , tried Sierra 107s, Berger 108s , 105s , nosler 105s , Bart's 105s , vapor trail 103s best group , 2.5in at 250yds , after 250 rounds sent back to Brux , have heard some other people having trouble with 1 in 7.5 twist , Brux sending a new 1 in 8 twist , no charge replacement ,

I doubt it’s the twist.

Be curious to know what bore and groove size the barrel is?

I’ve got a 1-7 twist on my gun. I’ve shot 107SMK, 110 Hornady ATIPs and some 105 Hybrids. Forming cases or fire formed cases and accuracy isn’t an issue. Wish I had more of the 110 ATIPs to shoot then what I had.

Gonna load up some 110 SMK’s this weekend and give those a run also the next time I can get it out.

It was a 1 in 7.5 twist .237 bore at 29in long finished 4grove , the one they sending back Is a 1in8 twist 4 Grove .236 bore at 29in when finished . I've had 3 other people say they had problem with 7.5 .237 barrel . Also have a straight 6br 1in 8 twist . 236 bore Krieger that shoots 1.243 groups at 600 when I do my part,
