6BRA load data

I had to google the 8.8 part, when did that happen ?
8.8lb = 4kg…
Remember that virtually all Hodgdon powder is made in Australia by ADI.
Sold there in 1Kg or 4Kg with a few varieties of powder still in 500gram bottles {1lb = 454 grams}… Varget is rebranded AR2208
I suspect that Hodgdon is just bringing it in already bottled up rather than bulk and loading their own 8lb bottles.
The USA is the world’s last hold out to the Imperial measurement system and even the military went metric in the late 50’s so anyone that has been in the service should be familiar with metric measurement…
Even England started to move to metric in 1965 and now about the only Imperial measurements are for liquid measuring of alcoholic drinks….. You can still buy a Pint…
One English Pint = US 20 floz
Their liquid measurements are different to the USA though “The pound is a pound the world around…”

where and why would you test before going to 600yd my acess to 600 is 3 hours away

I normally shoot varget in my bra but used some n140 to foul my barrel with a random charge as I’ve never shot it in my gun before. It produced a sweet little 3 shot group.

I loaded up more and brought it back out and shot my personal best 10 shot group. Prone out of the back of my pickup truck, with mdt bipod and rear bag

Wow! Gives me a good idea of what I'm looking to get out of mine!

I use N150 for 108's. 31.3 gives me 2920 with room for more.
I tend to use H4895 for 103/105 bullets
Rick I was using Varget last year then moved to my H4895. Will be moving to N140, not sure why I couldn't just follow suit of the my friend and go the N150 route. That's just me being me.
Like the girl in the story, too fast, too slow, oh just right , Well she may not have said exactly that!

Testing the 105 Hybrid with N140 at 100yd, 3 shot groups. I don’t shoot competitively and was just looking for .4” groups or better.
Well if you were looking for .4 or better I think you found it! Good shooting

Don't rule out N150. It's not as slow as the charts say it is. N150 is my go to powder.
Shot n150 in my first barrel with great results. This barrel shoots well with n150 but preferred varget slightly at distance over n150 but a great powder! A buddy’s run n150 in his last 3 pipes and they hammer
