6BRA Alpha Brass question

I have what may be a stupid question/ observation. Given that the CIP standard for BR Norma has a diameter of .472" at .151" from the bolt face and a .01199" per inch taper, my math is showing .4714" at the .200 line. My reamer print, which is a modified wheeler spec, is also .4714" at the .200" line. It was stated earlier in this thread that alpha based their spec on the CIP standard. How can this be the true if their reamer spec is smaller? Am I missing something here? I'm just a little frustrated as this thread explains all of the problems I have had over the last 1.5 years.

The Alpha OCD brass doesn't require a FL size after firing in a Lapua chamber at the .200 line. If you FL size it for a Lapua chamber, it will never expand enough at the .200 line to grab the side of the chamber. It will thrust back to the bolt face and cause heavy bolt lift or click.

My .02¢

The problem as stated throughout this thread is, the brass is so hard at the .200 line it doesn't expand in a Lapua chamber, even after seven firings to need FL sizing. Just bump the shoulder and size the neck to your chamber and keep firing away.

You have a die to recommend just a bump and neck size?

Well at least it is working for one person! Wow, what a nightmare for most though. A very good thread on, "what not to do". So, Lapua brass it is and always has been. Sorry for all the hell a lot of you have gone through. Another brutal learning curve for sure.

Couple of barrels chambered no problems. Lucky I guess

Alex chambered my 6bra. I started with Alpha brass. It shot perfectly in the lower node with less powder required to get there. I began to have some bolt click at the middle node and heavy bolt click at the upper node (2990+-)

The brass shot small at all nodes and with less powder. No way I could run the gun at the middle and upper nodes without upsetting the rifle.
