after doing a few builds...and postponing a 6br....it's come time to revisit the idea after getting all of my other projects complete.
so...after looking into the PPC...I've decided that for my purposes, that's more work than i care to take on. I will only be shooting this gun 100-200yds...300yds AT MOST and only very rarely. 100-200 can/will be a weekly thing.
My needs/wants are easy brass prep, good barrel life, easy tuning, and the ability to shooting the middle weight 6mm bullets with precision and accuracy.
I stumbled upon the 6beggs in my PPC research...and it seems to be a great idea with minimal effort. I'll for sure want a no-turn chambering. As much as I can see...you just neck up the 220rus brass to 6mm in a single pass, then load and shoot to get your final forming (much like my 223ai I just completed..minus the necking up) Would this round give me a benefit over the 6br enough to go that route over a 6br???
I'm planning on a polished Marsh Saguaro or Stiller Cobra....shorter 1.25 straight contour barrel....jewell or like trigger...and all that in a shehane st/br or st1000 stock (will be deciding that when i restock my 223ai in the next few weeks) and topped with a weaver t36 that i have sitting in one of my safes. I'm not worried about a class or meeting any set criteria...I'm just wanting a gun to piss my friends off at the range
