6br repeater with DBM

Wondering if anyone has built a repeater with DBM. thinking of building a 10 or 12 twist 6br hunting rifle. All input would be helpful.

There are a few options: use your google-fu. The option that worked best for me was a modified AICS 223 REM magazine. About 10 minutes with a file and you have a flawless 6BR magazine.

I have 2) 6Br's that are repeaters both have coned bolts. And use AI 308 mags that i have modified. I run the 105 hybrid also have used 80 gr Berger's. They feed flawless. Only mag mod is a shim in the front of the mag about .375 thick and cut some off the follower. Send me your email and i will send pics if you would like.

HS Precision bottom metal with 22-250 or 308 magazines feed BRXs like corn through a goose. Easy to set up with HS factory stock. They will not drop into a HS-made Remington take off. They are spendy but also 100% reliable.

Could you post pic's here so we can all see? Am thinking the Dasher would make an outstanding bean-field and antelope rifle.

Not sure how to post pics. But I can send it to you if you would be so kind to post. Over 6000 rnd thru 2 different rifles set up this way and they have worked flawless. Not the only way to skin a cat. That is what is nice about this site a bunch of great info.

Yes, Please Post picture's i am thinking about doing a repeater myself.

Be happy to post your pic's once I return home on the 15th. Not sure how I can do with the 'smart' phone (too smart for me ;)).

I am posting these for Bert

This is how i held the shim in a simple pop rivet. The hole for the rivet is not thru so a bullet tip does catch the hole.

I think it's actually easier than with a computer. Just download the photobucket app. You can upload either pictures from your library or it'll let you take them right there. Then just copy the image code and paste.

Hoier thanks . And guys I am sure there is a better way to pull this off. But bottom line this is an easy mod and it works.

AI is all I have used. Not sure the brand that another guy was going to use but spring was too long to allow the shim to be used. The shim is 3/8 thick I couldn't make it any thicker without it hitting the spring.

I'll second the HS precision bottom metal, it works flawlessly. If you use a Remington, you might also need a sako extractor installed.

I have one built by McWorther rifles with Stiller action thats feeds perfectly that I am thinking of selling. Bought it and never use it do to my work and travels. To nice of a rifle to just sit in the safe.

It is set up as a hunting type rifle and has a 10x60 March scope on it which makes a perfect setup.

I have a short movie clip showing it being load and unloaded. Any one interested in posting it for others to see please send me your email. I am not computer savey enough to do it
