6br Peterson Brass

Are you using it in a "no turn" chamber?
If not, do you find the necks are a bit thicker and need to be turned
a little bit more to fit a custom chamber?
Greg I turned mine down to .012
I discussed this with Zack in the beginning of load work as I thought it might be a lil on the snug side and pressuring out to soon in charge weight. He agreed, I turned the necks and was able to Increase charge and tune without anymore preasure issues.

I'm running a .269 neck. A little snug for that.
So might try some and turn it enough to clean the necks up.

How's the 8208 powder working for you?
It works great for me, all my friends were using H 4895 when I got my first BRA so I did the same. Used up what I had and bought another 16 lbs. New batch would flatten primers at 2925fps, tried Varget and it was okay, but I had a lot of 8208 for prairie dogs with light bullets in the BRs so I tried it and have been using it ever since. Runs 2970 in this barrel with no excess pressure what so ever. Just need to pay attention when you are working up and do it in small doses because it will peak suddenly. When you get to the top there is no doubt... and it's absolutely insensitive to hot or cold weather... John

I’m using Peterson in a 25 CM. The necks were +/- 15 thou. I had to turn, but am very satisfied. I’ve got 700 Alpha 25 CM just sitting idle.

I really appreciate all of the comments in this thread as I’m going to be building two 6br’s on 700 actions when the barrels I ordered from Northland Shooters finally get here (Jim says 12-20 weeks lead time). In anticipation, I got 200 rounds of the Peterson 6br brass from Grafs, and although I can’t comment on the performance yet, I got 200 rounds of their 7br brass two years ago that have impressed me. I weigh my brass and the 200 rounds are divided into 4 groups of 50. Weight in each group varies .2-.2.5 grains. That’s a tighter range than I ever got with Lapua or Norma (though the Norma brass for my 25/06 varies .5 grains, not bad for brass that size).
What could matter with regard to cases is their volume vs their weight. There is no way to tell how heavy the case head in each case is, for instance. What may matter is the volume of each case. One could check it with water or some other liquid to see but then when one considers what happens when the primer is ignited, well, you see where I'm going with this.
