6br no turn neck

I recently loaded 80 6BR cases from a couple different sources, including factory ammo). Loaded with 105 Scenars the necks measure about .2695 with brass from loaded ammo and .2685 with older brass. That suggests you will definitely want at least two bushings.

Mine measure .2685...and I use a Wilson brand bushing,,size ..265"...If you get a Redding "Wilson Style" bushing ...make shure it is what it is marked...they usually run samll!!!!....I like the Wilson ones...they can be inverted and change the size by .0005" by doing so. Roger

I use a .268 TiNitfor my no-turn 1000yd rifle...with a carbide expander ball. The expander ball only kisses the neck on exit...doesn't actually do any sizing.

Gives me 1.5thou tension...perfect.

I use a bushing that is .002 smaller than the loaded round, and it gives me .001 neck tension. The coated ones are little more expensive, but you don't have to lube the neck either to re-size it. Keeping lube off of the neck keeps it from building up in the die and putting dents on the shoulder, or the powder from sticking to it when you fill the case.

My barrel is PacNor 28" with a .272 no turn neck. I'm using Redding Comp dies and like JB a .268 TiNi coated bushing but I'm not using a expander button at all. Instead I use a button off of and old .223 die so that I don't touch the inside of the necks at all the button is only there to hold the pin in place. And being I don't lube the Lapua brass I dip the neck of every 5th or so brass into a dry graphite that I purchased in a auto parts store and I've been using the same couple of ounces for over 10 years. The graphite keeps the neck's of the brass from galling which sometimes can occur when no lub is used. The dry graphite eliminates the clean up mess associated with wet lub and the stuff never builds up in your dies.

I used the non-bushing Forster die and had them hone the neck to .266. I left the expander ball in place. It opened up the neck .0005 versus leaving the ball out.
