6br GT ???

I ended up with a reamer that was supposed to be a 6 brai. The markings say 6br GT 272nk, 0 freebore. Mfg 11/17 Jgs reamer new in package. Haven't had time to call jgs for reamer print if available. Any info offhand?

It is likely a Greg Taylor design. After someone changes the dimensions slightly they alter the name.

Edit: btw it should still be a 6BRAI reamer. Just contact him or get the print to be sure.

I think @22DASHER is correct. I just had a barrel chambered with what sounds like the exact same reamer. JGS will give you the print but they will call Greg first to make sure it’s ok.

FWIW, The barrel I had chambered was 12 twist 4 groove Bartlein in heavy varmint contour. I had it set up in a shouldered configuration on a trued Savage PTA. Fire form loads with 55 SBK, 70 SBK, and 70 TNT are all going into .3 to .4 at 100 yards.

They wouldnt have sold him the reamer if it wasnt ok with GT. They wont sell a reamer but hold the print back

Nobody said who bought the reamer from JGS. I can say two things with great confidence. The nice lady at JGS called Greg and got his permission before sending me the reamer print and you sir do not know everything that you think you do. That’s all I have to say about that..... lol.

Well the first post and every post you referenced said jgs and yes youre right ive never dealt with proprietary reamers. I get at least one call a week to release them. I do know a little bit....lol
