6br bushing

Questions, for the Lapua blue box 6br brass what size bushing would you suggest for a PRS rig? Also, once in a while does Redding bushings get past quality control being a little bigger than the size that's stamped on them?

Thanks,
Don Dunlap

Measure the outside diameter and make your decisions relative to what your components measure, my necks are .267 but some people say their lot measures .269 so you should check for yourself to be sure.

Then decide if you are going to size down only or if you will also include an expansion step. Most opt for .002" of interference fit ("tension") between the sized brass and loaded round diameter.
If you are only going to size down I would choose a bushing .002 smaller than your loaded round.
If you are going to include an expansion step I would choose a bushing .004 below the loaded round diameter and allow the expander to open the necks back up to the .002 under loaded round diameter.
