6BR ammo box..?

J and J boxes from Champions choice-$4 on sale -100 Rd. Don't know postage. Ordered 2 today, good folks, straight up.

It seemed pretty simple until I started looking. Trying to find a good basic hinged plastic ammo box for my 6BR loads. Would prefer 100 capacity box. Whats a good quality inexpensive box (including the model number) and where do you buy it?

The RSS-50 will take a BR case and a loaded round oal. of 2.50" and it has a real hinge not a living hinge..... jim

For 6BR - I use the MTM RM-100 boxes as is.

I too use the RM-100-?. I use a 1/2" foam pad to protect the bullet tips should the box were to take a tumble. The last "-" number after the RM-100 will be a number that reflects the color of the box. So, for me it is the RM-100-16T which is a green lid and a black tray.

Go to the MTM website. I have 6 of them. The RS-S-50 is a 6BR sized box. The “S” means short. OAL of 2.5” where the RS-50 is a 2.625 OAL.

The only loaded round that I found that won't fit in the RSS-50 is the 6BR IMP with the 110 SMK they are a little too long.... jim

In fact, to all those people who have replied with the 50 round boxes to the OP ( not you ! ) merlin did say "preference" for 100 round boxes.

If you are so hung up on getting a 100 round box, get one 3D printed. There are a few people on thingyverse who have some designs. Contact them and get them to do a 100 round box to match whatever case, WSM, SUAM, 6BR, 308 ... WHATEVER.

Well, since there has been 1500 views of this thread. Why don’t we all e-mail MTM and request a RS-S-100 6br ammo box. As much different merchandise as they make, surely it wouldn’t be that big of a deal for them to tool up for it. Their newer boxes with the real hinge where the lid folds out flat, are great.

I have 10 of the one i posted with dashers & br cases in them with no issues. Cant figure out what the problem is on this post its been shown quite a few times- even the next step up with the handle. And everybody posting the 50 rounders is funny. Yall are going to have ole smith out throwing yoohoo bottles at kids on his lawn

I understand the frustration of the RM50/100. fired cases are almost the same length as the holes and makes it difficult to pick the fired cases out.

I have plano, mtm RSS 50, and the Lapua brass boxes for dasher. But i only use 50 size boxes

That's why I glue the 1/2 inch wood blocks into the bottom. Then the 6br sticks up the same as the 243.

I found that if you place 6BR cases upside down (primer up), you can pick individual cases out quickly by the case rim without any mods.
