That's a very large statement, and I'm glad it comes from someone who has a lot of knowledge and background with the Dasher. I'm happy I done one and look forward to doing some testing if the weather ever warms up. I've been following everybody replies with interest. What I have seen so far is no loss in velocity at all. Even if there was, the other benefits outweigh that for me. I think it will take the dashers place eventually.
6BR ackley improvedWaited and waited for my Brdx reamer from Manson. It's in the mail as I type this. Just what is a BRAI? Are we chasing phantoms and promises of new, better latest I have to have! Say it ain't so, Joe!

Hoping to see a reamer print for dimensions. One can hope "ai" was a definitive term, but seems more generic than specific to dimensions and neck/shoulder angles. Brdx is "ai" as well, looking to find out how its dimensions compare to 6brai being talked about in this thread. Hence comment (tongue in cheek) about new latest and greatest. What exactly are we talking about here?6BR ackley improved
Alex:Sent you an email @ your yahoo address.Use the same shoulder and base diameters as the dasher. Harrell's will sell you a dasher die with .080" cut off the bottom. I am recommending the D3 die. Neck is up to you, length and freebore just like any other br. Jgs made mine.
Thanks for the re direct. Pictures quite helpful.dbduff, go to this link and look at the prints on pg 2, that should help clear things up.

Here is a copy of what I am ordering. I changed letterbox T to a chamber OAL of 1.540" max and trim to of 1.530" just from something I prefer, a little shorter neck to balance out such a fine round. I wanted a flexible reamer, so zero freebore, and I have a JGS throater to suit 55 grain on up. .272" ND allows a light clean up pass on the neck turner, or will run as a no turn. I have been using a shortened Harrells D2 with no ill effects, thanks to an education on Harrells dies from a super duper nice fellow Mr. Stan Taylor. Works great.

Tclauch- thanks for print, will compare it to the Manson print. Appreciate the response to the question.

I got out my LG and measured the throat wear on the rifle and it's defintly moving slower over the HG. After making the measurements and calculating the rounds down the barrel it's moving at .004 for every 100 rounds fired. That's much better than the .007 from my HG.
It's still more than I had hoped for since it has the longer neck but it is what it is.
