6br 20" barrel powder burn ?

I've recently built my second 6br on a Savage action. The first is an 8 twist 28" bull barrel set up for longer shooting with 105 bergers and 30 gr Varget

This one is a 12 twist 20" bull for short range. I'm shooting 65 gr Fowlers
Right now getting good groups with 34 gr Varget just touching lands.

Now the questions. is the Varget burning completely ? Should I be running a faster powder?

Thanks for any help

I am running a 15 inch bullberry barrel on my encore pistol with 29.6 grains of h322 and it is a hammer with little muzzle flash.I use 68 grain flat base bullets.

I have a 6br 17" barrel bench rest pistol 1in9, and with 88 and 95 grain get great groups with any one of these three powders, VV-135, R-15, N-203B, Varget did not work for me. I don't have quickload so don't know about that, but they work in my setup.

Heloo "T" ....you are getting lots of good info and like always the gun will tell you what it likes...you are sorta asking "how does my girlfriend like to be kissed?" ,,wink...you just gota find out for yourself,,,,if you have any Rx7 and Rx15 layin around gettin stale,,mix them 1/2 N 1/2 and if since I am one of those ignorant hillbillys that use a Culver measure I cant tell you the charge...but it is 3# higher than H-322!!!(yes I know I dont weigh powder charges--I do blend powders--I clean my bbls with bronze brushes vigorously--and I do shoot competetively) ,,let us know how it works.....so many people ask for advice and then never say thanks or "it worked"....Roger

Thanks for all the good feed back.
The quick load info is much appreciated. It's about what I was thinking the Vargets a little to slow.
Good groups but velocity a little low.
If I knew how to post pics I would put up some groups of Varget then
I'm gonna try some H322. Will report back

Thanks again
