6Br 10twist and 55gr. bullets????

Anyone here having any luck shooting 55gr. bullets from a 10 twist 6br rifle??????

I picked up a 10 twist rifle, but i want to use it for squirrels/prarie dogs, not competition.....

Will i have to rebarrel it, or will it do what i need it to do????

Load & pull the trigger. They'll shoot fine.

They should shoot fine, but if not try the 70gr Sierria Blitzkings.

Did you try them at extended ranges? Beyond 100 yards?

It'll do fine as long as barrel still OK.

Use them. A 55/58gr bullet really makes the 6BR come alive. You'll like how the little 6's going 3800-3900 will demolish a prairie dog. They all shoot well in my rifle but I mostly use the 55BalTip which has a higher ballistic coeff. than the other lightweights. For those bullets, AA2230 powder is magic.
