6BR @ 1000 yards

I am shooting a 6BR with 115 gr bullets out of a 28" barrel. I am currently getting 2750 FPS - is there a recommended velocity that people are seeing for 1000 yard milk jug challenges? I didn't know if there is an average that shooters like to see. I am currently using H4350 - 32.1 grains with a SD of 4.6 and ES of 10, Lapua cases and Fed 205M and seated 10 thou off the lands, Nosler 115 RDF's., 4300 ft elevation. No pressure signs - any recommendations are appreciated. H4350 is the only powder I can get.

Haven't shot mine at 1K yet, but I too have a 28" 6BR. I have 112gr Barnes Match Burners loaded up with Shooters World Long Rifle pushing 2675 fps that I will be using for long range at Camp Perry in a couple weeks. So far the results at 600 show promise. Here's a 10 shot group is shot in a sling without any scope adjustments. Shot 10 was my fault.

I'm running 107 SMK's and have shot it several times at 1,000 and 1,400. I'm running 2,950 with varget and little better SD and ES than your #'s. I wouldn't be as concerned with FPS as much as how accurate its performing. That being said, If you are doing good with pressure signs, I would look for the next node and see how it does. A little extra speed never hurt. You may hit the node and it doesn't perform like your current node.

Just wondering how the 112's did at your match? any updates ?
I just found some 112 Match Burners and have the H4350. I'm running a BRA with a 27" barrel.
I want to give it a go. Running low on H4895

I feel like people want 6BR to be something different than what it is. 6BR is the "girl next door". Don't try to make her into something she's not. If you want a "smokin' hottie", try BRX, Dasher, 6x47, GT, etc. If you want simple, accurate and reliable, run a plain 'ol 6BR.

103-107gr bullet with Lapua brass, running +/- 2850fps w/ Varget, 4895, RL15, v140. Very accurate/consistent to 1200y, the brass last forever the load doesn't really change over time. If you keep it easy, it will keep you happy. Just my $.02

I’m no expert on bullets but I once shot these two targets at one thousand yards with a Savage action 6 br and 107gr. I didn’t win but I didn’t feel under gunned either.

there is accurate and then there ACCURATE. there is a reason why 1000 yard benchrest is DOMINATED by 6mm dasher and 6mm BRA, and seldom seen 6mm br, IN A WORD ACCURACY. it is a nice cheap also run round, seldom seen in the world of ACCURACY at 1000 yards. 1/8, 28 " even a no turn neck with a correct neck for known brass dia,
