You might consider 10 twist then you would be able to shoot the 87 v-max and under...and still have plenty of speed.I’m dropping off an action this week for a 6 BRA Varmint Rifle build. I’m planning to use a 1:12 twist for 70 grain and under bullets.

Just a thought.![]()
I used them in my 6BR but nothing to rave about. You have some severe over spinning so accuracy will be OK. It depends what you expect from your rifle. Why not go with an 87g VMax?
I herd of that round . With a 75 gr v max what’s the FPS on that and is that round considered a barrel burner ?Not a 6BR but I shoot the 75gr Vmax in my 6-284 w/12tw barrel and they shoot extremely well. I've shot a lot of coyotes with that bullet in my 6-284 and to say they are NOT fur friendly is an understatement.
70g Sierra Blitz kings out performs the BT and the V max, like shooting a berger bullet in terms of accuracy and more explosive than either of them!!!Personally Ive found the 70 hr Nosler ballistic tip bullet to outshine the 75 v-max in the 6 dasher varmint barrels that I've worked with.

The 87g VMax performs quite well in both my 6BR and my 6X47L. Groups hover around the 2 inch mark at 600 yards. Not bad for a varmint bullet. Bullet seems to shoot best at touch or jam. Both guns are 8 twist.I have the v max 87 gr what can I expect from that bullet with my 1-8T
