6BR 1 - 12 twist?

What is the max. weight bullet that will stabilize in the 6BR with a 1 - 12 twist?

Most likely 80 gr some will shoot 85 to 88gr. you will have to try them.

A 1 in 14 twist will likely shoot 70 gr bullets and short 75's unless you twist it's tail pretty tight. If the temperature drops with borderline bullets accuracy will go south.

I had mine built with a 1/12 twist with the express purpose of shooting 75 grain pills. They seemed a nice compromise between 55s in my 22-250 and 100s in a 6mm.
VMaxs seem to work very well on ground hogs. Bergers shoot even better, but their terminal ballistics leave some thing to be desired. I've got some 80 gain Speers I'm going to try this fall on deer.
In theory your gun should shoot 85's if you push them hard.
I don't see what an 85 will do that an 80 won't.
