Twist Rate??

What's the heaviest weight bullets I could expect to stabilize properly in a 1 in 12 twist 6BR?

You may not get the 87 Vmax to work in a 6BR,but i`d definitely try it...

Doc uses a 6 Dasher, it gives a little more velocity than the 6BR i`m sure it helps.....

I have no problem stabilizing the 87gr. VMax out of a 26" barreled .243 Win. Like Phil said, you may have trouble getting it to stabilize due to the velocity reduction but, I wouldn't let it stop me from trying!

My mistake, that barrel on my .243 is a 12" twist also!
