69 grain bullets for 1/12' twist

I'm shooting a Savage 12FLV in .22-250 with a 1/12" twist barrel and want to shoot at 500-06600 yards. Anybody getting good results with a 69 grain bullet.

Nope, and you won't either. Not enough twist to stabilize that bullet. 60g max maybe 64g. 9 or 10 twist would do it.

Should be quite easy for you to pick up a factory HB savage .223 barrel and have it re-chambered- that should give you 1:9 twist which will stablise the 69's.

the 69's have a BC or .307 speer make a 62 FMJ with cann with a BC of .305 which might work in your 1:12
but it's not a hunting projectile.

I have NO experience with Berger LTB projectiles- they might work but I dont know. Email Berger and ask.

Hornady 60 grain HP's have a listed BC of .271 which is about .05 greater than common 55 grainers other than the plastic tip projectiles.
Might be worth a try with the 55 NBT at a bc of .276 and max velocity but you are giving away heaps to the high BC match projectiles even at the greater speed that the /250 case will push the lighter projectiles.
And if you load it hot- expect to chew your factory /250 barrel out in a little over 1500 rounds or WAY less depending how HOT you go.
